• Display Name:A name you choose when starting or joining a collaborative session. This is not verified and can be a pseudonym.
• Google Account Data (optional):If you choose to sign in via Google OAuth for Drive backup, we receive your Google profile name and email address solely for authentication and to associate your backed-up files.
• Usage Data:Basic, anonymous analytics such as page views and feature usage to help us improve the product. No personally identifiable information is tied to this data.
• Room Activity:We donotlog, store, or read the contents of your collaborative sessions. All code and messages are encrypted client-side before transmission.

2. How We Use Your Information

Any information we collect is used strictly to provide and improve the Service:

• To authenticate you and associate your Google Drive backup files with your account.
• To display your chosen display name to other participants in your session.
• To analyze anonymous, aggregated usage patterns to fix bugs and improve features.
• To respond to support inquiries you initiate by contacting us directly.

We donotsell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. End-to-End Encryption & Zero-Knowledge Architecture

Livecodeshare-pro is built on a zero-knowledge model. All collaborative code and chat are encrypted in your browser usingWebCrypto AES-GCM 256before being transmitted. This means:

• We cannot read, view, or access the content of your collaborative sessions.
• We do not store your room passwords. If you lose your password, that session data is permanently unrecoverable by us.
• Any data that does reach our servers is already encrypted and meaningless without the room key, which only you and your collaborators hold.

4. Google Drive Integration

If you connect your Google Account to enable workspace backups, Livecodeshare-pro requests only thehttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.fileOAuth scope. This scope grants us permission to:

• Read and write files that werecreated or openedby Livecodeshare-pro on your Drive — nothing else.
• We cannot access, view, modify, or delete any pre-existing files in your Google Drive.

You may revoke this access at any time through yourGoogle Account Permissionspage. Revoking access will not delete files already saved to your Drive.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Livecodeshare-pro uses browser-local storage (localStorage) and session storage to save your preferences (such as theme settings) and maintain your active session. No tracking cookies are set by us. Third-party services (such as Google OAuth) may set their own cookies governed by their respective privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

We retain only what is necessary:

• Session data:Ephemeral. Not stored on our servers beyond the active session.
• Google Drive backups:Stored in your own Google Drive. We do not keep copies.
• Analytics:Aggregated and anonymous. No retention limit applies as no personal data is involved.
• Support correspondence:Retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.

7. Third-Party Services

Livecodeshare-pro may rely on the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google OAuth & Google Drive API— for optional authentication and file backup.
• Vercel— our hosting provider, which may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request metadata) as part of operating the infrastructure.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services independently.

8. Children's Privacy

Livecodeshare-pro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
